March 4, 2016 – Save the date for Disney’s Zootopia!

In just one year Disney’s Zootopia will be on theaters! but today you can know a little bit more about the movie, and also see a new picture.

Since I arrived to the studio, one year and a half ago, this has been the project where I have had the privilege to work doing character modeling. For me, Disney is a big reference from the classics to the recents projects, such as Tangled, Frozen & BigHero6. I’ve always been amazed by the appeal and the quality, from the artistic and technically point of view, that their characters have shown on the screen. For all of this, to be a part of a project that keeps the tradition of humanized animals from the classics, plus the fact to be surrounded by the artists behind these last big titles, has been and keeps being a dream come true! I really hope in one year all of you enjoy of all of this with Zootopia! Cheers!

The modern mammal metropolis of Zootopia is a city like no other. Comprised of habitat neighborhoods like ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown, it’s a melting pot where animals from every environment live together—a place where no matter what you are, from the biggest elephant to the smallest shrew, you can be anything. But when optimistic Officer Judy Hopps arrives, she discovers that being the first bunny on a police force of big, tough animals isn’t so easy. Determined to prove herself, she jumps at the opportunity to crack a case, even if it means partnering with a fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde, to solve the mystery. Zootopia, a comedy-adventure directed by Byron Howard (Tangled, Bolt) and Rich Moore (Wreck-It Ralph, The Simpsons) and co-directed by Jared Bush (Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero), opens in theaters on March 4, 2016.

En tan solo un año se estrenará en los cines Zootopia! pero hoy ya se ha hecho pública la sinopsis de la película, junto con una nueva imágen.

Desde que llegué al estudio, hace ya algo más de año y medio, éste ha sido el proyecto en el que he tenido el privilegio de trabajar modelando personajes. Para mi, Disney es todo un referente desde los clásicos hasta los proyectos más recientes como Tangled, Frozen o BigHero6. Siempre me ha fascinado el appeal y la calidad, tanto artística como técnica, que sus personajes han mostrado en pantalla. Por todo ello, formar parte de un proyecto en el que se mezcla la tradición de animales humanizados de los clásicos, junto con el hecho de estar rodeado de los responsables de estos últimos éxitos, ha sido y es un sueño hecho realidad!
